Abstract
Digital phase-locked loop, DPLL, comprising: a time-to-digital converter, TDC, configured to generate a digital phase signal indicative of a phase difference between a reference signal and a feedback signal; a digitally controlled oscillator, DCO, configured to generate an output signal based on a control signal, wherein the output signal of the DCO is fed back as the feedback signal to the TDC; and a digital loop filter, DLF, configured to process the digital phase signal to generate the control signal for the DCO, wherein the DLF includes a noise cancellation path, or digital noise cancellation block, configured to generate a noise cancellation signal for suppressing DCO phase noise based on the digital phase signal.
