Abstract
Provided is an Internet of Things, loT, device, comprising a transceiver which, in operation, receives a first message, the first message indicating group authentication data common to a group including the loT device; and circuitry which, in operation, performs authentication by determining whether or not a communication node is authenticated using the group authentication data, and determining device authentication data specific to the loT device, if it is determined that the communication node is authenticated, wherein the transceiver, in operation, transmits a second message indicating the device authentication data.
