Abstract

Provided is an Internet of Things, loT, device associated with a first device identifier unique among a plurality of device identifiers associated with a respective plurality of loT devices, wherein the loT device is included in a group associated with a group identifier, comprising a transceiver which, in operation, receives a first message from a communication node, indicating the group identifier; and circuitry which, in operation, determines a second device identifier, the second device identifier having a smaller data size than the first device identifier, wherein the transceiver, in operation, transmits a second message indicating the second device identifier to the communication node.
