Abstract
Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling insertion of an implant into an electrically conductive volume in a patient using impedance measurements, a surgical instrument for implant insertion which may comprise the apparatus, and related features. The implant may, for example, be a cochlear implant or a brain implant.
