Abstract
A fume extraction system is designed to include one or more filters arranged in a housing of the fume extraction system. Air from an ambient environment is introduced into the housing of the fume extraction system via one or more inlets. A self-cleaning system is connected to expel surface particulates from the one or more filters. And one or more movable barriers are arranged at the one or more inlets or outlets, configured to move from an open configuration to a closed configuration.
