Abstract
An apparatus including: a film conveyance arranged in a machine direction of the apparatus wherein the film conveyance includes a thermoforming mold comprising a forming surface and a plurality of spaced apart recesses in the forming surface positioned in a cross direction orthogonal to the machine direction; and a first noncontact heater array spaced apart from the film conveyance comprising: a first central heating unit; and a first flanking heating unit, wherein the first flanking heating unit flanks the first central heating unit; wherein the first central heating unit and the first flanking heating unit have independent temperature control.
