Abstract

A three-dimensional printing system (2) includes a printhead (10, 11), a printhead carriage (10), a horizontal movement mechanism (14), a printhead mount (40, 60), a plurality of flexures (42, 62), and an adjustable actuator (50). The printhead mount (40, 60) is configured to receive the printhead (10, 11). The plurality of flexures (42, 62) couple the printhead mount (40, 60) to the printhead carriage (10). The adjustable actuator (50) is configured to engage and position the printhead mount (40, 60) with a range of motion over which the plurality of flexures are under continuous bending stress to a fixed geometric configuration.
