Abstract
A rocker outer (30, 30A, 30B) includes a top plate (31), ridge line portions (32, 33), vertical walls (34, 35), and flanges (36, 37). At least one of the vertical walls (34, 35) includes at least one bead (381). The at least one bead (381) extends in the longitudinal direction of the rocker outer (30, 30A, 30B). In a transverse cross-section of the rocker outer (30, 30A, 30B), the at least one bead (381) protrudes from a reference line (R1) inward or outward of the rocker outer (30, 30A, 30B), the reference line (R1) being a straight line connecting an end portion on the top plate (31) side of the at least one of the vertical walls (34, 35) and an end portion on the flange (36, 37) side of the at least one of the vertical walls (34, 35). The sum of the depth of the at least one bead (381) with respect to the reference line (R1) is 4.0 times or more the sheet thickness of the top plate (31).
