Abstract
A composition and process for making fire and heat resistant board, which comprises preparing a slurry of a mixture of hydraulic cement, spherical xonotlite particles, non natural wollastonite, functional fillers/additives and reinforcing fibres with balanced water; shaping the slurry into a board by means of the sheet-forming technologies; air curing the board and drying; wherein the non natural wollastonite is recovered from waste of calcium silicate hydrate materials by calcination at <1000°C, and reused in the manufacturing process.
