Abstract

A nacelle support system (1) for a nacelle (2) of a wind turbine, comprising: a - support module (3) comprising: an open lower portion (30); an open front portion (31); a compartment (32) configured to receive a nacelle (2) through the open lower portion (30); and a locking system (33) for locking the nacelle (2) in an operative position (O) within the compartment (32); and - a support structure (4) comprising a base portion (40) and structural elements (41) extending upwards from the base portion (40); the nacelle support module (3) being configured to be connected to an upper part (410) of each of the structural elements (41); and the support structure (4) being configured such that an unobstructed operational space (S) is provided below the support module (3), said operational space (S) being configured to allow a nacelle (2) to be inserted into and/or removed from the compartment (32) through the open lower portion (30).
