Abstract

A heat exchanger 100 comprises a core 100a, a first set of inlet and outlet ports 20a and 20b and a second set inlet and outlet ports 30a and 30b. The core 100a comprising a stack of first and second plate assemblies 10 and 11 stacked and fluidically connected to each other to define a height "H" of the core 100a. At least one of a first plate 11a, a second plate 11b and a distribution plate 11c of each second plate assembly 11 comprises an additional aperture 17a, an additional hole 17b and an additional opening 17c respectively aligned to configure an additional channel (33) that forms multiple flow passes along the height "H" of the core 100a. The additional aperture 17a is at least partially disposed between extreme end of a rib 19a and the periphery of a first aperture 16a.
