Abstract

Backward movement energy dissipation system and method for use in a firearm wherein the dissipation system comprises a movable element which is movable between a first condition corresponding to a first position of the slide of the firearm and a second final condition corresponding to a second position of the slide of the firearm, wherein the passage of the movable element from the first condition to the second condition occurs by rotation of the movable element on itself with dissipation of at least part of the energy of the explosion.
