Abstract
The positive electrode for a lithium secondary battery according to the present disclosure may include: a positive electrode current collector; and a positive electrode active material layer formed on the positive electrode current collector and including a positive electrode active material, wherein the positive electrode active material includes nickel and manganese, a ratio of the content of nickel in the positive electrode active material to the content of manganese in the positive electrode active material is 8 or less, and a particle size distribution of the positive electrode active material defined by the following Equation 1 may be 0.8 or more and/or 1.3 or less. Particle size distribution = D 90 − D 10 / D 50 <img class="EMIRef" id="88a4e979-a5d9-4173-bd6d-76d85edfc93f-ia01" /> (In Equation 1, D10, D50, and D90 are particle diameters of the positive electrode active material particles at points where cumulative volume percentages in a particle size distribution obtained by a particle size analyzer are 10%, 50%, and 90%, respectively.)
