Abstract
An electric power tool includes: a cutting assembly (120) that includes at least one cutting blade (122) and a cutting motor (M1) driving the cutting blade (122) to perform a cutting action; a power supply device (170) that is at least configured to supply power to the cutting motor (M1); and a controller (130) that is configured to estimate a moment of inertia of the cutting motor (M1), and control operation of the cutting motor (M1) according to the moment of inertia of the cutting motor (M1). The tool can realize fault detection on the cutting blade and control the operation of the cutting motor through the moment of inertia of the cutting motor, thereby improving reliability of the fault detection and control on the cutting blade.
