Abstract

A method includes receiving an anatomical map of wall tissue of at least portion of a cardiac chamber. Locations are received, of electrodes of a catheter inside the cardiac chamber during application of ablation. At least some of the locations of the electrodes are projected onto surface of the map. Shortest paths are found between pairs of projected locations of adjacent electrodes. Some of the paths are indicated with first indications representing continuous ablation, when paths have path lengths that are below a given threshold path length. Others of the paths are indicated with second indications representing ablation gaps based on catheter geometry. Grid ablation tags are generated according to first and second indications and ablation model. The grid ablation tags are superimposed over anatomical map to generate ablation map and are graphically encoded according to the first and second indications. The graphically encoded ablation map is presented to users.
