Abstract

A fire extinguishing material including a sheet containing a fire extinguishing agent layer and a packaging material housing the sheet, in which the fire extinguishing agent layer includes a binder resin and a fire extinguishing agent that contains at least one of a deliquescent organic salt and a deliquescent inorganic salt, the packaging material has a laminate structure containing an aluminum foil and an insulating layer, the aluminum foil is disposed between the sheet and the insulating layer, and the insulating layer has a melting temperature of 150°C to 500°C.
