Abstract

A child safety seat (100) includes a seat portion (10), a backrest assembly connected with the seat portion (10), and a backrest adjusting system (50). The backrest assembly includes a first backrest portion (20), a second backrest portion (30) slidably connected with the first backrest portion (20), and a headrest (40) slidably connected with the second backrest portion (30). The backrest adjusting system (50) includes a lock (3) assembled with the second backrest portion (30), the lock (3) having a first locking state where the lock (3) is engaged with the first backrest portion (20) and disengaged from the headrest (40) and a second locking state where the lock (3) is engaged with the headrest (40) and disengaged from the first backrest portion (20), wherein the lock (3) includes a first latching part (31) for locking engagement with the headrest (40) and a second latching part (32) for locking engagement with the first backrest portion (20). The first latching part (31) is pivotally connected with the second backrest portion (30) about a pivot axis (L).
