Abstract
To provide a method for efficiently producing a chemical product from a waste material including used tires, in which each step in a set of processes is improved and thus long-term running is made possible. A method for producing a chemical product, the method including a pyrolysis step of obtaining a first gas fraction, pyrolysis oil, and a residue fraction through pyrolysis of a crushed product of a waste material including used tires, a low-temperature hydrogenation step of subjecting raw oil containing at least one portion of the pyrolysis oil to low-temperature hydrotreatment at 180°C or higher and 350°C or lower, to obtain low-temperature hydrogenated oil, a high-temperature hydrogenation step of subjecting raw oil containing at least one portion of the low-temperature hydrogenated oil to hydrotreatment at a higher temperature than that in the low-temperature hydrotreatment, to obtain a second gas fraction and high-temperature hydrogenated oil, a separation step of separating raw oil for atmospheric distillation, containing at least one portion of the high-temperature hydrogenated oil and crude oil, to a naphtha distillate fraction and any other distillate fraction, by atmospheric distillation, and a steam cracking step of obtaining a chemical product by steam cracking treatment of steam cracking raw oil containing at least one portion of the naphtha distillate fraction and/or such any other distillate fraction, in which an amount of the pyrolysis oil based on a total amount of the first gas fraction, the pyrolysis oil and the residue fraction is 40% by mass or higher in the pyrolysis step.
