Abstract
An SMA actuator assembly comprising a support structure, a movable part, an SMA wire and a heat sink. The movable part is movable relative to the support structure. The SMA wire is connected at its ends to the movable part and/or the support structure and arranged to move the movable part relative to the support structure. The heat sink is arranged adjacent to the SMA wire such that the thermal environment along a major portion of the SMA wire is substantially uniform.
