Abstract

The tracker comprises: a torque shaft (1) in a tracking direction of rotation; a controller (2) for managing the rotational position of the torque shaft (1); a drive (3) for providing the tracking rotation to the torque shaft (1), and including a motor (4) and a reduction system (5) sandwiched between the motor (4) and the torque shaft (1); and a revolution counter system (6) for controlling and counting the number of revolutions, and the direction of rotation of the motor (4) with respect to a zero position previously stored in the controller (2); the revolution counter system (6) being communicated with the controller (2) and the drive (3) to allow control of the tracking rotation by means of the number of revolutions and the direction of rotation of the motor (4) with respect to the zero position, detected by the revolution counter system (6) It allows greater tracking precision, avoiding operating in conditions in which a significant precision error has accumulated in the tracking position.
