Abstract
A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system includes an outer vacuum container (OVC), a superconducting magnet housed within the OVC, and a plurality of sensors configured to monitor parameters of the superconducting magnet. The MRI system further includes a microcontroller disposed within the OVC and electrically connected to the plurality of sensors, and a communication interface configured to transmit data from the microcontroller to an external control system. The microcontroller is configured to multiplex signals from the plurality of sensors into a single data stream for transmission through the communication interface.
