Abstract
Provided is an article transport facility including a management device. The management device includes a processing section that executes reception processing, confirmation processing, and update processing. The reception processing includes receiving, in response to one of a plurality of detectable objects being replaced, input of position information of a replacement detectable object, which is the detectable object newly installed as a result of the replacement. The confirmation processing includes causing, with a command to a vehicle-side control section, a transport vehicle to travel to the replacement detectable object, detect the replacement detectable object with a detection section, and transmit identification information of the replacement detectable object acquired as a result of the detection to the management device. The update processing includes updating map data, based on the identification information of the replacement detectable object detected in the confirmation processing.
