Abstract

Embodiments of this application provide a wallpaper setting method, a terminal device, and a storage medium, and relate to the field of terminal devices. The method includes: displaying and including a wallpaper preview interface in response to a tap operation on a wallpaper synthesis control; displaying a first option and a second option in response to a tap operation on a wallpaper selection control; determining a first image in response to a selection operation on the first option; obtaining a target subject image by performing subject extraction on the first image, and displaying the target subject image on the wallpaper preview interface; determining a second image in response to a selection operation on the second option; determining a superimposition region in the second image based on the target subject image; generating a target image based on the target subject image and the superimposition region, and displaying the target image; and setting the target image as a wallpaper in response to a tap operation on a wallpaper application control. In embodiments of this application, in a process of generating the wallpaper, a quantity of times of human computer interaction is increased, and user participation is increased.
