Abstract

The present disclosure provides concepts for generating a coronary segmentation of a heart of a subject. In particular, a coronary angiography image of at least a part of the heart of the subject, and probabilistic maps describing expected paths of a plurality of vessels of the heart of the subject and expected vessel endpoint regions of the plurality of vessels, are obtained. A coronary segmentation is generated based on the coronary angiography image and the probabilistic maps, wherein the coronary segmentation represents a detected path of a plurality of vessels of the subject, and detected vessel endpoint regions of the plurality of vessels. Additionally, based on the probabilistic maps, and for vessels amongst the plurality of vessels of the coronary segmentation, a likelihood value is assigned that indicates whether the detected vessel endpoint of the respective vessel represents an actual endpoint location of the respective vessel.
