Abstract
A dry electrode according to the present disclosure has uniform distribution of a binder resin and/or an electrode active material in a thickness direction of an electrode active material layer, leading to high adhesion strength between the electrode active material layer and a current collector and improved shape stability of the electrode active material layer. Additionally, the dry electrode has irregular orientation of the electrode active material in the electrode active material layer. A secondary battery according to the present disclosure including the dry electrode has a reduction in Ohmic resistance with a change in charge SOC (State of charge) and generates less heat when high current is applied during fast charging, and it has a beneficial effect on safety of the battery while in operation and thermal management of the battery.
