Abstract

A power grid protection system (100) that protects a power grid (50) including a voltage line (56) through which a current supplied from a secondary-side facility of transformation device flows and a neutral line (55) that has been grounded includes: a circuit breaker (11) installed on the voltage line (56); and a commutator (12) that connects the voltage line (56) and the neutral line (55) on a side of the secondary-side facility of transformation device with respect to the circuit breaker (11), and when an anomaly due to a short-circuit fault or a ground fault occurs in the voltage line (56), a fault current flowing through the voltage line (56) is commutated to the neutral line (55) via the commutator (12).
