Abstract
Disclosed in the present application are a satellite communication method, an apparatus, a chip and a module device, the method comprising: a terminal device receiving availability information of a feed link from a network device, the availability information of the feed link being used for indicating whether the feed link is available; and, when the availability information of the feed link indicates that the feed link is unavailable, releasing a radio resource control (RRC) connection. In the case of feed link failures, the method described in the present application helps to save the power consumption of terminal devices.
