Abstract

A wireless user device comprises a transceiver, a processor and a memory storing instructions. When executed by the processor, the instructions cause the wireless user device to:receive, from a base station, a sidelink configured grant; based on the sidelink configured grant;transmit, to a second wireless user device:sidelink control information, SCI, comprising a first value for new data indication, NDI, information; andat least one packet associated with the SCI;receive, from the second wireless user device, a negative acknowledgment for the at least one packet;receive from the base station, a sidelink grant for a retransmission of the at least one packet, wherein the sidelink grant comprises an NDI value for NDI information; andtransmit, to the second wireless user device and based on the NDI value of the sidelink grant, the at least one data packet and the first value for NDI information comprised in the SCI, to indicate the retransmission, instead of using the NDI value of the sidelink grant for the retransmission, wherein the first value comprised in the SCI was transmitted before receiving the NDI value comprised in the sidelink grant for the retransmission..
