Abstract

Methods and apparatus are provided for performing the quantization constrained (QC) correction of a given transform coefficient cf associated to a quantization level cq when the minimum and maximum bound offsets are individually enabled or disabled. In one embodiment, signaling methods are provided to save signaling cost of bound offset parameters if the corresponding bound offset is disabled. Another embodiment provides performing QC correction of a transform coefficient using individually enabled or disabled bound offsets. In another embodiment, computing both the minimum and the maximum bound offsets is performed using a single bound offset signaled in the bitstream.
