Abstract
Proposed concepts thus aim to provide schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to generating a model for predicting focal spot degradation. In particular, embodiments aim to provide a method for generating a model for predicting focal spot degradation by generating a first sub-model describing a relationship between medical image data and a focal spot shape, and a second sub-model describing a relationship between a focal spot shape and a focal spot degradation score. A composite model is then generated based on the first and second sub-models. The composite model, which can be a machine-learning model, can thus be used to predict the focal spot degradation score from the medical image data.
