Abstract

[Problem] To improve both reversion prevention property and diffusivity with a simple structure.[Solution] The problem described above can be solved by an absorbent article including an absorbent element 50 having an absorbent body 56 provided in a range in a front-back direction LD including a crotch portion M and a wrapping sheet 58 that wraps the absorbent body 56, wherein the absorbent body 56 is made of mixing and aggregating pulp fibers and super-absorbent polymer particles, the absorbent element 50 is provided with a plurality of spaced high-compression portions 51 that are compressed in a thickness direction TD so as to be recessed into the absorbent body 56 from a surface of the absorbent element 50, portions other than the high-compression portions 51 in an arrangement region of the plurality of high-compression portions 51 are non-high-compression portions 52 that are thicker and lower in density than the high-compression portions 51, a density of the absorbent body 56 in the high-compression portions 51 is 60000 to 250000 g/m³, and an area of each of the high-compression portions 51 is 2 to 200 mm².
