Abstract

The present invention provides, when carbon fibers are used as reinforcing fibers, a prepreg from which a fiber-reinforced plastic having improved strength in a direction perpendicular to the fiber direction can be obtained, and a fiber-reinforced plastic having improved strength in the direction perpendicular to the fiber direction. The prepreg of the present invention contains a matrix resin composition and carbon fibers. The matrix resin composition contains [A]: an isocyanuric acid derivative having a glycidyl group, represented by the following Formula (1) (in Formula (1), X<1> to X<3> each represent a glycidyl group, an allyl group, an alkyl group, or a hydrogen atom, and at least one of X<1> to X<3> is a glycidyl group), [B]: a curing agent, [C]: a compound having a (meth)acryloyl group but no glycidyl group, and [D]: an epoxy resin excluding the component [A]. <img class="EMIRef" id="0e1839ae-71b4-4702-b90e-a867638d2010-ia01" />
