Abstract
A generation portion (5) generates a dispersion fluid (DI) in which droplets (DR) in which a culture fluid containing cells is sealed are dispersed in a specific solution (S), the specific solution being larger in specific gravity than the culture fluid. A substrate (11) includes a main surface (111), and holds the dispersion fluid (DI) on the main surface (111). A mesh member (2) is arranged away from the main surface (111) of the substrate (11). In the mesh member (2), a plurality of through holes (23) are formed where the droplets (DR) are to be trapped while the mesh member (2) is located above the substrate (11) in a vertical direction, the droplets (DR) having been introduced to the substrate (11) and having risen.
