Abstract

An apparatus (100) is provided for making nonwoven fabric including a plurality of distinct plants for making nonwoven fabric each developing along a main axis (1a) and a main plane (1b) and configured to dispense via an outlet (10a) a plurality of either polymeric or cellulose or viscose filaments along and parallel to one or more dispensing directions (4a) transverse to the main plane (1b) forming from the outlet (10a) a respective layer of filaments along or parallel to a dispensing plane (100a) transverse to the main axis (1a) and the main plane (1a); and a conveying station (12) downstream of the outlets (10a) and including calendering means (13) configured to calendering said layers together, and one or more conveyors (15) each placed between a respective outlet (10a) and the calendering means (13) and configured to convey a respective layer, separately from other layers, to the calendering means (13) in such a way that the layers are layered together exclusively at the calendering means (13).
