Abstract
The invention discloses a Method for fusing a plurality of single drive maps (SDM1-SDM4), each single drive map (SDM1-SDM4) containing a plurality of data objects (6, 6a-c) associated with corresponding fixed objects (4) of a bordered traffic area (1), said data objects (6, 6a-c) being based on a data collection by a respective vehicle (mv1, mv2) when driving through said bordered traffic area (1), wherein for a first data object (6a) of a first single drive map (SDM1), it is determined whether an associated data object (14) exists in a defined vicinity 812) of said first data object (6a) in any other single drive map (SDM2-SDM4) out of said plurality, acquiring thereby a number of associated data objects (14) of the first data object (6a), wherein, based on the number of said associated data objects (14), an existence model (18) for the existence of a first fixed object (4) at the location in the bordered traffic area (1) corresponding to said first data object (6a) is derived, said existence model (18) providing a existence probability (p) for the existence of said first fixed object (4), and wherein a first master data object (20) is registered into a fused map (FM), said fused map (FM) being the fusion of said plurality of single drive maps (SDM1-SDM4), based on said existence probability (p).
