Abstract

In one embodiment, the electric system (1) comprises a static electric induction device (2) and an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, EIS, sensor (3), wherein- the electric system (1) comprises a protective coating (4) to protect a component (21, 22, 23, 24, 25) of the electric system (1) from an exterior (A),- the EIS sensor (3) comprises a working electrode (31), a reference electrode (32) and a counter electrode (33), a test portion (40) of the protective coating (4) directly extends across the working electrode (31), the reference electrode (32) and the counter electrode (33),- the working electrode (31) is of areal fashion and is surrounded by the reference electrode (32), the latter being surrounded by the counter electrode (33), seen in top view of the test portion (40), and- the EIS sensor (3) is configured to provide information about a corrosion state of the protective coating (4).
