Abstract

The present invention relates to methods and devices for detecting objects proximal to an uncrewed marine vehicle (UMV). The UMV comprises a first sensor having a first sensing modality and a second sensor having a second sensing modality. The method comprises acquiring a first and second sets of object data from the first and second sensors respectively, acquiring environmental status information, determining confidence scores of the object data based on the environmental status information, determining a presence of one or more objects while applying the confidence scores as weighting factors for determining at least one property of said one or more objects. Unlocking insights from Geo-Data, the present invention further relates to improvements in sustainability and environmental developments: together we create a safe and liveable world.
