Abstract

A holding member (30) includes: a front end surface (31) that faces, in a first direction, an inner wall surface (201) of the interior of an optical connector ferrule; a rear end surface (32) that is disposed on a side opposite the front end surface in the first direction; a bottom surface (34) that contacts, in a second direction, a bottom wall surface (202) of the interior of the optical connector ferrule; a plurality of holding parts (37) that extend along the first direction between the front end surface and the rear end surface, are arranged along a third direction, and can each hold one of a plurality of optical fibers; and a stopper (40) that is formed on the surface of the holding member and maintains a distance in the first direction between the front end surface and the inner wall surface within a predetermined range when tip portions (14) of a plurality of optical fibers (10) extending from the holding member are respectively inserted into a plurality of insertion holes (24) in the first direction.
