Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes a main assembly frame including a first frame and a second frame opposing the first frame, an image reader provided above the main assembly frame; an image processing board and a fan for cooling inside the image forming apparatus. A side of a space for accommodating a photosensitive drum to the first frame is an inside of the first frame and a side opposite to the side of the space to the first frame is an outside of the first frame. The image processing board is in the outside of the first frame. A part of the image processing board is above an upper end of the first frame and below a lower end of the image reader. At least a part of the fun is above the upper end of the first frame and below the lower end of the image reader.
