Abstract

This application discloses a method for displaying input content and an electronic device, and relates to the field of terminal technologies. In response to a first operation on an editing interface for a text note, a handwriting area is added to the editing interface. A user may input content to the handwriting area through handwriting. In response to a second operation of the user, the handwriting area is deleted, and a first handwriting display area of the editing interface displays the content input through handwriting. In response to a third operation on the first handwriting display area, the handwriting area is further displayed on the editing interface, and the user may continue to input content to the handwriting area through handwriting. In this period, text content on the editing interface is always displayed. Therefore, an interface jump is reduced, which brings smoother use experience to the user. In addition, before the editing interface is generated, the handwriting input content and the text content do not correspond to different layers. This avoids a display misplacement problem that is generated after a form change of a tablet computer and that is caused by a fact that the text content and the handwriting input content are located on different layers.
