The invention relates to a method for setting up a diskless computer for a virtual radio access network, vRAN, the method comprising: sending, by the diskless computer, a request for a radio access network, RAN, image to a datacenter, the request comprising an unambiguous feature of the server; and receiving, by the diskless computer, the RAN image from the datacenter.
