Abstract
A method for making calls by a user by means of company Voice over IP (VoIP) applications or fixed-mobile convergence solutions, when the user's geographical position is incompatible with the Caller Line IDentifier (CLID) that the user wishes to use. The method uses geolocation technologies for determining the user's position and compares it with other CLID information. If the user's position is incompatible with the CLID used, the method applies appropriate policies, thereby preventing improper use of the service and improving communication security and transparency.
