Abstract
Proposed concepts thus aim to provide schemes, solutions, concepts, designs, methods and systems pertaining to generating a medical image file. In particular, embodiments aim to provide a method for generating a medical image file by finding a region of interest in a medical image (and thereby, or separately, region(s) of non-interest) and then processing the image so that the region of interest and the region(s) of non-interest have different resolutions to one another (with the region of non-interest having a lower resolution than the region of interest). In other words, it is proposed that by identifying a region of interest in a medical image, comprising an anatomical feature, a modified medical image can be generated with spatially-varied resolution.
