Abstract

In order to maintain synchronization of wireless communication, a remote wireless device (20) is provided with: a communication unit (120) whereby a synchronization maintenance signal (SM) transmitted from a base wireless device (10) in a transmission cycle (Tt) which is a plurality of times the length of a predetermined cycle (Tu) is received in a reception cycle (Tr) which is a predetermined number (N) of times the length of the transmission cycle (Tt); and a synchronization unit (122) that maintains the synchronization. The predetermined number is an integer of 1 or more. The reception cycle is the sum of a first period (T1) in which the communication unit receives the synchronization maintenance signal and a second period (T2) in which the communication unit does not receive the synchronization maintenance signal. The first period is a period including one or more of the predetermined cycles included in the reception cycle.
