Abstract
The present invention relates to a protective sock (99, 199, 299) comprising: an elastic body (3,13,16,12,17) for covering at least the instep and ankle of a wearer's foot and a bridge pad (2) to provide protection to the bridge of the foot; wherein the bridge pad is integrated to the elastic body so that the bridge pad is held in place over a bridge of a user's foot when the sock is pulled over the wearer's foot.The protective sock provides enhanced protection of a wearers foot across the bridge to protect the wearer's foot from another player stamping on their foot during sport such as football.
