Abstract

The present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for determining a global cardiovascular/hemodynamic parameter of a subject, comprising: a) receiving data representative of non-invasive and optical measurements of microvascular local blood flow of a muscle or tissue of a current subject, previously acquired by optical techniques based on laser speckle statistics, wherein that muscle or tissue is in a non-compartmentalized area and has a limited autoregulatory performance where the local blood flow cannot be isolated from that of the systemic one; b) processing the data received at a); c) determining the global cardiovascular/hemodynamic parameter of the current subject or/and an index originating or representative of the global cardiovascular/hemodynamic parameter, based on the result of step b); and d) providing the determined global cardiovascular/hemodynamic parameter or/and the determined index. The present invention also relates to a system and a computer program implementing the method of the invention.
