Abstract
An image processing system (100) and related method. The image processing system comprises an input interface (102) configured to receive X-ray image data of an object acquired by an X-ray imaging apparatus during a scan and to receive camera image data of the object acquired by a camera system having a field of view of the object. A geometry determiner (104) of the system is configured to analyze the camera image data of the object to determine geometry information of the object and distance information of the object to a detector of the X-ray imaging apparatus. A scatter estimation module (106) of the system is configured to estimate a scatter profile of scatter present in the X-ray image data by use of the determined geometry information of the object and the determined distance information of the object to the detector of the X-ray imaging apparatus.
