Abstract
Provided is a technique capable of obtaining a water-absorbent resin in which the amount of contaminants mixed is further reduced when the water-absorbent resin is recovered from a mixture in which the water-absorbent resin and the contaminants such as pulp are fixed. A method for recovering a water-absorbent resin of the present invention includes, in the following order, a crushing step of crushing a mixture in which a water-absorbent resin and a contaminant are fixed and integrated, by applying a physical force to the mixture, and a separation step of separating the water-absorbent resin and the contaminant from the mixture crushed in the crushing step.
