Abstract
A printer according to an aspect of the present invention issues a print medium including an RFID inlay. The printer includes an RFID unit and a control unit. The RFID unit communicates with the RFID inlay of the print medium. The control unit is configured to control the RFID unit to read first data in a first memory area of a plurality of memory areas included in the RFID inlay and write the first data or second data that is based on the first data, to a second memory area, which is different from the first memory area, of a plurality of the memory areas.
