Abstract

A cleaning system (20) for a gas turbine engine (100) includes a detergent supply (22) containing a detergent, the detergent comprising a corrosion-resistance additive (e.g., Gadolinium doped ceria particles, a foam generating assembly (26) operably coupled to the detergent supply (22), the foam generating assembly (26) being configured to generate a cleaning foam using the detergent, and a foam supply line fluidly coupling the foam generating assembly (26) to a cleaning port of the gas turbine engine (100) to supply the cleaning foam into the gas turbine engine (100).
